Maryland Families for Safe Birth is excited to invite you to participate in the 2026 Maryland March for Change Advocacy Day on February 11, 2026, in Annapolis.

For many years, Maryland Families for Safe Birth has organized and led its own advocacy and lobby days, bringing families, birth workers, and community advocates directly to policymakers to advance safe, equitable, and respectful maternity care across the state. This work has long been central to our mission and to our commitment to ensuring that lived experience and community expertise inform policy decisions.

This year, we are especially excited to join a dynamic group of partners under the March for Change banner—an opportunity that aligns deeply with the work we have always done, while expanding our collective reach. By coming together with like-minded organizations, we are strengthening coalition-based advocacy and amplifying shared priorities that support birthing people, families, and the perinatal workforce across Maryland.

We are proud to partner with March of Dimes, the Doula Alliance of Maryland, and Postpartum Support International – Maryland Chapter to bring this Advocacy Day to life. Advocates of all experience levels are welcome and will be supported through pre-event preparation, issue briefs, and coordinated legislative meetings to ensure meaningful and accessible participation.  (After you register, more details will be provided.)
