LOBBY DAY SUCCESS! We may have not had the numbers we usually do, but we definitely had the energy! 23 Maryland Families for Safe Birth supporters braved the ice and came down to Annapolis to talk with our representatives about cesarean rates in Maryland (we are 6th highest in the nation at 34.9%) and ways to increase data transparency in maternity care. We met with over 100 representatives either in person, or by calling their office at our schedule appointment time. Thank you all so much! We will keep everyone informed of our legislative progress as the session progresses.
